This Holy plant is not only holy in name, it is one of the most sacred plants in India where it is referred to as Tulsi. Other wise known as Ocimum Sanctum, Holy Basil is not used as often in food as it has been in medicine. Holy Basil has been used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine to treat many sicknesses.
