Cat’s Claw is a common name used for a variety of climbing vines throughout South America. The vines have ‘claws’ which they use to grab onto the trees they are ascending…sometimes this vine grows up 100ft tall trees even!
The specimen we offer is Botanically identified as Uncaria tomentosa.
The inner bark is what is used for medicinal application, and that is what we have here. This vine is Wild Harvested in its natural jungle habitat and is harvested ethically and responsibly by natives.
This herb is used as an immune booster first and foremost, but is also used to treat other ailments.
Traditionally this herb is used in teas or prepared into an alcohol tincture. It is good to add lemon or something acidic to a tea to fully extract the healthy tannins!
Also suitable for capsulation consumption 🙂
