Slippery elm is marvelous for the stomach, especially if used for relieving stomach acid or stomach inflammation. The bark creates a gel-like protective layer on the stomach lining. The tea is very light tasting, pretty tasty compared to some of the tea I drink. This tea is easiest made in a tea ball in my experience. The gel like substance in the bark doesn’t strain well in cloth or paper filters.
